In a chilling 24-hour span between August 5 and 7, 2025, the world witnessed four separate aviation crashes in Algeria, Ghana, Kenya, and the United States, claiming a total of 20 lives. While the events stretched over three calendar dates, each occurred within the same 24-hour window, sending shockwaves across the globe.

1. Algeria — August 5/6, 2025



A civil protection surveillance plane crashed during a training mission at Ferhat Abbas Airport in Jijel. All four people onboard were killed, including a Chilean instructor and a trainee pilot.

2. Ghana — August 6, 2025



A Ghana Air Force Harbin Z-9 helicopter carrying eight people, including two senior government ministers, crashed in the Ashanti Region. All eight passengers died, sparking national mourning and a military investigation.
