President Akufo-Addo congratulates incoming Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on her pioneering efforts as Ghana's first female vice president.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has praised incoming Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for her impressive and pioneering achievements as a woman.

Akufo-Addo praised Ghana's first female vice president-elect when the NDC's incoming government met with the outgoing government at Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, to begin the transition process.

"For the first time in our country's history, we have a female vice president. "This is an achievement that deserves to be celebrated by all of us," he remarked.

He also offered his heartfelt congratulations to the President-elect and Vice President-elect, recognizing their victory and wished them luck in their new administration.

The meeting will cover topics such as the formation of a joint transitional team to ensure a smooth transfer of power.
