Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has received the endorsement of another chief. The Twafohene of Buem, Nana Osabarima Antwi Agyei V, commended Bawumia during a courtesy visit intended to garner support before Ghana's next elections.
Nana Osabarima emphasized Dr. Bawumia's broad appeal, demonstrating his respect for the vice president. "After many years of experience, I can state with confidence that Dr. Bawumia is the first vice president in our history to garner such broad admiration and respect," he remarked. He asserts that this degree of popularity is unprecedented in Ghana's political history.
According to the traditional ruler, Dr. Bawumia stands out from other political personalities because of his modesty and distinct personality. Nana Osabarima said, "His humility and special traits are what have won him over so many people." He thinks that the Ghanaian people will take notice of these qualities, and he expects that this recognition would result in a sizable vote in favor of Dr. Bawumia in the next general elections. On election day, he stated, "I hope that all Ghanaians will see the good in him and that that will reflect in the votes."
The Twafohene, however, did not stop at complimenting Bawumia; he also thanked the NPP government for its contributions to the country's growth, especially in the Buem region. He listed a number of government-funded projects and said that Dr. Bawumia's leadership has been crucial in advancing efforts to enhance healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
Nana Osabarima stated, "We have witnessed the impact of the NPP government, and I am grateful to Dr. Bawumia and the party for their backing." His remarks demonstrate an understanding of the real advantages that the community has reaped from government programs. "We look forward to even greater strides in the future, and we are grateful for the development projects that have reached our communities," he said in closing.
