Gbane- Minerals Development Fund Board Chair Commends Earl Mining company for Royalties commitment

The Board Chairman of the Minerals Development Fund, Kweku Sekyi Addo has lauded the efforts and commitment of Earl International Mining Ghana limited operating in the Talensi District for constantly paying their Royalties and taxes which part of it is reimbursed into the Minerals Development Fund for further development in the mining areas where the Royalties are taken.

Mr. Kweku Sekyi Addo Made this remarks during a training on the mining community Development Scheme for the Talensi District local Management Committee ( LMC) in Bolgatanga as part of the Board's working visit to projects under the Minerals Development Fund.

" I must commend Earl international mining group formerly Shaanzi mining for their efforts in making sure the Minerals Development fund meets it objectives and purpose by constantly paying the Royalties expected of the company. I will further encourage Earl international mining group to continue with their commitment in helping us give back to the society" he said.

" Though Earl International Mining Group is already undertaking its Social Corporate Responsibilities in their catchment area, there is the need for the Minerals Development Fund to also help spread development in other areas of need as it has started across the country " the board chairman stressed further.

The team from the Minerals Development Fund Board and the Local Management Committee earlier visited some of the high yield water systems constructed from the minerals Development Fund in the area.

Residents of Gbane and other mining Communities who are the direct beneficiaries expressed their joy on the water projects as well as thanking Earl International Mining group for contributing to the fund but calls for more developmental projects.

Before the visit of the Minerals Development Fund Board, most residents in the mining areas were not aware of how the fund for the projects came from but as soon as they were told is from the operations of Earl international Group Ghana Gold limited, they felt a sign of relief and proud to belong to a mining compnay.

Residents are therefore urging other large scale Mining Companies in the area who are yet to commence operations to emulate Earl International Group Ghana Gold limited though Cardinal Mining Resources has relocated affected residents of their operations to a comfortable accommodation and location.
