It is day eight of 2022 and for many members of the teaching fraternity, their hopes are that the new year brings some improvements into their lives and the teaching profession as a whole.
Since a happy teacher is poised to deliver a well-planned lesson in the classroom, there is therefore the need for the management of the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education to improve the working conditions of teachers and place so much emphasis on teachers' welfare.
On the other side, the various teacher unions are expected by teachers to be bold, passionate, and selfless to champion teachers' interests and work in their members' interest.
Below are some seven wishes of some teachers in Ghana in the year 2022 and beyond.
-On behalf of chalk, lesson note, teacher's guide, pupils’ textbook, pupils exercise book and the learners themselves, we wish all teachers here a happy 2022.
-May all salary arrears and outstanding allowances be paid and Politicians show maximum respect to Teachers in 2022.
-We hope that the Teacher Unions show proper leadership in 2022 and learners take their lessons seriously in 2022 whereas parents become more responsible in 2022.
-We hope that teachers show much love for the job in 2022 whereas teachers who sabotage their colleagues for personal interests change in 2022.
-May the Education Sector get a facelift in 2022, furthermore, may the political communicators on Education communicate effectively in 2022 without disrespect to STAKEHOLDERS.
-May the Textbooks hidden “Under Construction” be released in 2022, we hope that the real Truth about TM 1 LAPTOP be revealed and the quality of the laptop be exposed in 2022.
-Lastly, may teachers in Ghana also get their rewards here on Earth abundantly starting from this year.
