The Regional chapter of the “Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana” (CCT-GH) has admonished the NPP Government led by Nana Addo to ensure that teachers are well-fed in the ongoing and the upcoming curriculum workshop for JHS teachers this week across the country.
In a press statement released by the union, it added that all the modalities needed for the smooth running of the workshop should be made readily available. “The chapter admonishes the Government to bring out all the modalities concerning the upcoming workshop as early as possible.
This is in relation to feeding, transportation and sitting allowance. The teachers must be well-fed throughout the period of the workshop.”
According to the association, this is to ensure that what happened in the Standard-Based Curriculum workshop for primary school teachers does not repeat in forthcoming workshop. “The training workshop for JHS teachers concerning the New Curriculum should not be like what was done when the New Curriculum was introduced at the primary school.” It added.
