The Phase 2 of the distribution of “One Teacher, One Laptop” is underway in some District Education offices. A document sighted by Bricy Boateng shows that the Asante Akyim Central Municipality has released a list to be used for the distribution to teachers in the Municipal.
The said list shows the number of teachers in the various Junior High Schools of the district that are expected to receive the laptops. The dates and schools for the distribution have been scheduled such that when it gets to your turn, you go for it at the designated place.
More than three hundred JHS teachers who have paid for the laptop in the Municipality are expected to receive their laptops. As all public junior high schools resume school next week to commence a new academic year, the Ghana Education Service is poised to supply teachers the laptop to aid in teaching and learning.
Meanwhile, there is a three-day Common Core Programme to be held by the various District Education Directorate across the country for Junior High School teachers scheduled to begin today January 12 – January 14, 2022. However, Primary and Kindergarten teachers will follow suit in the distribution channel to receive their customized laptops when the second phase is completed.
