Dogo Moro, generally considered to be the greatest sweeper in the history of African football has passed away at Komfo Anorkye Teaching Hospital (KATH) on Tuesday, 30th May 2023.

Dogo Moro was born to a father from Buntuku in northern Ghana and a Brong mother from Kintampo.
He began his football journey in Kumasi, Ashanti region, where he started his professional career with the first-division side Evergrease.
Shortly after, he transferred to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, a top-tier club, where he showcased his skills for a remarkable seven-year period.
He won the AFCON with the Black Stars in 1963 and 1965.
He was also very instrumental when his beloved Kotoko became the 1st Ghanaian club to win the African Cup in 1970.
His burial took place at the Tafo Cemetery on the same day of his demise as the Islamic customs demands, preceded by prayers done in his memory at the eponymous Dogo Moro Park at Asawase.
