The Anlo state, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The visit took place on Monday 28th November, 2022, at the seat of Government, Jubilee House.
The purpose of their visit was to raise concerns about the happenings in Volta Region and also thank the veep for honoring their invitation to the festival.
Some of the concerns been raised by the Anlo state to the vice president of Ghana was about the sea dredging and its devastating effects on the drinking water of the people of Dzifa.
Another concern raised was about the seven sea limited and their inability to stick to their promises and agreements of using the sea water for salt but rather drilling the lagoon instead .
The Anlo state further pleaded with the vice president Bawumia to Intervene on behalf of Anyako people who live with no pipe water for the past 20 years.
This was taken note by the vice president who praised the people of Volta for a successful festival.
According to Dr Bawumia, the 2022 Hogbe was one of a kind and it was a life time opportunity to attend such a grand durba which brought the Ga Mantse , Kwawuhene and Asantehene all under one umbrella for a such a historic festival.
