Born Miriam Opata, Meekay GH is a graduate of the renowned Regional Maritime University. She is actually the last of three children and she Hails from the Eastern and Central parts of Ghana.
According to her, fashion designing has been her childhood dream and she is grateful she pursued it regardless of her educational background.
She has been in the fashion industry for five years now and so far, she has been able to train quite a number of young girls.
This award is not her first award as she was once nominated the Best Fashion Designer at the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) and this is an award that she won.
So far, she has worked with the popular Ghanaian personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso who is widely known as Delay.
She is not limiting herself as she aspires to have a great impact on the younger generation as well as operate as a fashion institution. As a long-term goal, she wants her Meekay GH brand to become of the most sought-after global brands in the world.
