Alexander Saah popularly known in showbiz as A-Town YD was born on 17th November 1994 in Agona Swedru and comes from Gomoa Afransi which has been popularly dubbed A-Town in recent times hence his name A-Town YD.
His parents, Cecilia Yawson(a teacher) and Samuel Saah(a farmer) are both Christians who nurtured him in the Christian way.
A-Town YD is the third born of 5 to his mum. He had his basic school at Afransi D/A primary and JHS and completed his secondary school at Ajumako Bisease Secondary Commercial.
During that time he joined his Methodist church’s choir and continued for over 7 years where they won a lot of singing competitions.
He then furthered his education at Fosu College of Education in 2016 and completed in 2019 where he completed with Second Class Upper honor therefore A-Town YD is a professional teacher.
Unfortunately, he never did music in secondary school but started his music career professionally in College with rap and was popularly regarded as the best rapper of his time.
He has thereafter upped his game and now does afrobeat, drill, hip-hop, rap music, and other genres based on how he feels at that moment.
He has songs like “This Side”, “Hookup Girl” and “Nnamfuo(Friends)” which are doing good on audiomack with over 10thousand streams.
