It seems the witches and wizards saga and the drama associated with the ill-treatment the public gives to people tagged as possessing special powers for evil purposes has duly been dealt with after Parliament has passed a law against that, but despite the passage of that law, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has condemned it in his own opinion.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw spoke against what to my opinion is a misplaced priority after ignoring the pressing and much awaited gaysm and lesbianism bill pending Parliaments approval but instead, worked on laws protecting individuals against abuse of right from religious bodies, individuals and whosoever on the grounds of witchcraft.

The Speaker Alban Bagbin who announced that the Criminal Offences Amendment Bill 2022 had been read for the third time and passed, explained that it had amended the Criminal Offences Act 1960, Act 29, “to prohibit the practice by any person as a witch doctor or a witchfinder, to proscribe the declaration, accusation, naming or labelling of another person as a witch and for related matters.” Lawyer Ampaw on his usual programme dubbed the 'Mmra ne Abrabo mu Nsem' received the shock of his life after seeing the Legislative arm of government, sidelining the anti gayism and lesbianism law pending approval at Parliament whereas Ghanaians languishing in massive sufferings only for this eighth Parliament to pass witches bill, which is very sad.
