On June 13, 1993, Thomas Partey was born in Odumase Krobo, Ghana, however, he spent the majority of his professional life in Spain. Atletico Madrid was the team that housed him in their youth divisions, to be more precise. His progress eventually led to a significant part in the first team, and as a result, Arsenal spent a significant amount of money to sign the midfielder as soon as they could.

The Gunners chose to bring the Ghanaian to their team in October 2020 without waiting for a negotiation. His release clause from the Colchoneros was paid in full by the Premier League team, which came to almost 55 million euros. Though he is proven his value to head coach Mikel Arteta, the high sum of money might have been a little excessive.

Arsenal's top earner is reportedly Thomas Partey on £200k-a-week.

The Ghanaian midfielder pockets £18k-a-week more than second-placed Alexandre Lacazette.

Benchwarmer Nicolas Pepe takes home £140k-a-week, while £50m signing from Brighton Ben White is allegedly on £120k.

Kieran Tierney earns £110k-a-week, with former captain Granit Xhaka on £100k.
