Police in Nairobi County is holding an officer who defiled a 16- year-old girl in Embakasi.
Patrick Makori is said to have sexually assaulted the girl who had gone to make a report at Embakasi Police Station over unpaid salaries.
Makori, who was on duty, introduced himself and promised her that he would assist her on the matter. The two exchanged contact before the officer asked the girl to report back the following day.
The next day, the victim arrived at the station at around 2 pm and found the officer was still on duty.
The two left the station and the officer took the minor to his rented house near the station. He locked her inside and returned to his place of work.
Makori later returned to the house in the evening and sexually assaulted the minor that night. In the morning, the Makori left for work and the girl managed to escape.
The girl disclosed the ordeal to her relatives before she was taken to the hospital where medical examinations and tests confirmed the girl was defiled.
