UEW Tug Of War Championship

To cap off the 2023 HPERSSA Hall Week celebration, 64 male and female contestants competed in an exhilarating Tug of War competition at the University of Education, Winneba.

Fusiena Issah, Fadilatu Abdulai, Amaning.A. Comfort Okyere, Naomi, Linda Kwara, Ali Lawrencia, Mavis Vifa, and Susana Ocansey were the female athletes who represented Level 100.

Level 200 Guba Florence, Atompoya Charity, Ayisha Tetteh, Yombo Delight, Afua Asah-Awuku, Matilda Kwao, Boafo Emmanuella, and Coach Brown were among the other players.Bernard A.

Talata Florence, Sarah Akos Mishiwo, Constance Koranteng, Teni Ibrahim, Portia Amoako Anobah, Judith Acheampong, Grace Abudu, and Makafui represented Level 300.

Atinsiaka was the Level 400 Puller.Coach Adu-Kwao Prince, A. Sophia, Basoe Sophia, Amponsah Doris, Baffour Patience Akua, Otabil Elizabeth, Yakubu Patience, Hamidu Asana, and Baffour Patience Akua

The environment became electric during the tight competition for men as pullers were yelled and supported.

John Ariimbisa, Kenneth Akangevie, Daniel Obeng Afarikofigah, Michael Asomah Joseph, Akelbila Simon, Michael O Agyemang, and Coach Prince Letsa comprised the Level 100 Team.

Hamidu Mumuni, Richard Boakye, Agbadra Sampson, Ahmed Tijani, Bernard Owiredu, Pascal Delove Agbadza, Frank Asante, and Samuel Frimpong comprised Level 200.

Raymond A Marvin, Boame Timothy, Isaac Akrofi, Norbert Abongase, Collins Kuusame, Aliu Soofoo, Ayisi Andrews Baah, and Coach Eric Ekem Ferguson were also on Level 300.

Redeemer Arhin, Amemawu Godsway, Adjei-Frimpong Rudolf, Adom Richard, David Nlekia, Brantuo A Obed, and Coach Danso Nicholas were the Level 400 Pullers.

Noah Boakye, Benezer Mensah, Pokuaa Debora, Patricia Offei Amponsah, Philip Adzewu, and Kolorah Pious were the officials.

Dr. Yaryra Kluboito, Chairman Mr Henry Augustine Pufaa Jur, Mad. Juliana Koikoi, Prof. J.O.A. Ammah, and Dr Srem-Sai Medina were among the special guests.

The event's goal is to fill the recreational component of sports while also teaching the game to students during HPERSSA Departmental Week.

The female winners were: 1st Level 400, 2nd Level 100, 3rd Level 200, and 4th Level 300, while the male winners were: Level 100, 2nd Level 400, 3rd Level 300, and 4th Level 200.

Following HPERSSA Week 2023, the Hall will host a dinner and awards ceremony to recognise members who excelled during the previous year.

Sedzro Kofi Seth, President of HPERSSA, congratulated all participants. Other executives include Naiza Agyei Kyerematen, General Secretary, Osei Theresa, Treasurer, Pascal Delove, Organiser, and Raheena Suleiman Addo, Public Relations Officer.

Level 100 Elvis A Botchwey, Level 200 Hamidu Mumuni, Level 300 Sampson Bonney, and Level 400 Mustapha Ibrahim won the Men pillow fight awards.

300 Female 1st Level Sarah Mishiwo, 400th Level Men and Sophia A Atinsiak 100th Level Second Level 300 and Elvis A Botchwey Samuel Bonney

Noah Boakye Ebenezer Mensah, Pokuaa Debora, Patricia Offei Amponsah, Philip Adzewu, and Kolorah Pious were the event's officials.

The Ghana Tug Of War Federation organised the Tug Of War event, while Pillow Fight Ghana organised the Pillow Fight with the help of HPERSSA.

The medals were donated at the HPERSSA week celebration by the LOC chairman, Mr. Frank Mintah Mensah, and Olla Williams.
