Fire Razes Down Part of Senchi Health Centre

Wed, 6 Sep 2023 Source: Godblessed1

A fire outbreak razed down part of the Senchi Health Centre in the Eastern Region on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

The fire, which started at around 10:00 am, destroyed the male ward, the pharmacy, and the records room of the health centre.

No one was injured in the fire, but the damage is estimated to be in the millions of cedis.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but it is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.

The fire service is currently investigating the matter.

The Senchi Health Centre is a major health facility in the Eastern Region. It provides healthcare services to a population of over 100,000 people.

The destruction of part of the health centre is a major setback for the community. It is also a reminder of the need to take fire safety precautions.

The fire outbreak has also raised concerns about the state of healthcare infrastructure in Ghana. Many health facilities in the country are in a state of disrepair, and this makes them vulnerable to fire outbreaks.

The government needs to take steps to improve the fire safety of health facilities in Ghana. This is essential to protect patients and healthcare workers from harm.
