A 24-year-old KNUST student, Lambert Frimpong, was stabbed to death by his friend over a missing t-shirt on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
The incident happened at Kronum-Kwapra in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The deceased was accused of stealing the suspect's t-shirt, which he denied. The misunderstanding led to the stabbing of Lambert with a knife. He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect is still at large and the police are on a manhunt for him.
This is a very sad incident and it is a reminder of the dangers of violence. We should all be careful to avoid arguments and fights, especially over trivial matters. We should also be mindful of the people we associate with and make sure that we are not surrounding ourselves with people who are prone to violence.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased. I hope that the suspect is brought to justice and that this incident serves as a warning to others.
