One person was shot dead and two others were injured in an illegal mining clash at Juaboso in the Western Region of Ghana.
The incident happened when a group of illegal miners clashed with each other over control of the mining site. The deceased has been identified as Kwame Frimpong, 35. The two injured persons are 25-year-old Emmanuel Boateng and 30-year-old Kwame Darko. They are both in a stable condition at the Juaboso Government Hospital.
The police have since arrested three people in connection with the incident. They are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
