Popular actress Yetunde Bakare took to her official social media account to share her thoughts on the issue.
She added that there is a significant rate of dishonesty/paternity fraud every day and that women shouldn't find it offensive if their partners ask for DNA at birth.
Her caption reads: "If your partner asks for a sample of your DNA at birth, as a woman you shouldn't be offended. This is due to the level of dishonesty/paternity fraud we encounter on a daily basis".
Fans and celebrities responded to the message online by voicing their opinions. It's crucial because there's just too much dishonesty these days," said one supporter.
One of the biggest issues facing marriages is paternity fraud. Although it has been around for a while, the advent of social media has raised awareness. DNA testing shouldn't be feared by a woman who is confident that her partner is the biological father of her children.
