According to Fa No Fom singer, DJ Azonto, Ghanaians will make fun of him if he doesn't take home any awards at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
He told host Amansan Krakye: "A lot of people will make fun of me and laugh at me if I go to the VGMA and come back empty handed, but I know God has never disgraced me.”
DJ Azonto was asked by the host of Property Radio in Cape Coast during an exclusive interview how he would react if he doesn't take home any trophies at this year's 24th VGMA.
He replied, "God forbid, but I believe I will gain more popularity and get more accolades if I don't take home any VGMAs this year.”
Speaking to Showbiz on Property, he added: "I think even though I'm excited every day, if I go and I don't win any award, I think I'll start to cry a little bit.”
“But if you see me humorously boasting, Ghana will be fascinating because people will really laugh at me," he added.
The 24th annual VGMAs will be held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Convention Centre on Saturday, May 13, 2023, according to Charterhouse, the organisers of the event.
