Minister of Sports, GFA and other dignitaries attend Christian Atsu's one-week observation.

Hon. Mustapha Ussif, Minister of Youth and Sports, Kurt Okraku, former Black Stars player, Kwesi Appiah and other notables were on hand for Christian Atsu's one-week observation on Saturday.

The Adjiringanor Astro Turf hosted the week-long observation.

On Sunday 19 February, the Vice President, government officials, GFA and the Twasam family received the remains of Christian Atsu at the Kotoka International Airport.

However, the family are yet to announce a date for the former Chelsea winger's last rites.

The Ghanaian winger scored his first goal for Hatayaspor just hours before the tragedy struck.

Atsu made 65 appearances for Ghana during his career, scoring nine goals. Two of his most famous goals came against Egypt in a 2014 World Cup qualifier and against Guinea in the quarter-finals of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, where he scored a spectacular strike.
