Additionally, a number of patients have been admitted due to injuries sustained during the incident.
The deceased's uncle, Muaz Abdul-Baki, told Citi News, "My wife called me last night to tell me that the boy had attended the ceremony and been struck by a stray bullet, so I rushed there to confirm it was true."
Annually, the Dagbon, Mamprugu, and Nanumba ethnic groups observe the Fire Festival, also known as the Bugum Festival, to commemorate a historical event on the Mole-Dagbon calendar.
Each year, people who have relocated from the North and now reside in the South attend the festival.
