Ms Magdalen Alaba Tagoe, a member of the National Executive Committee of the National Congress of Democracy, rose to prominence.
The late Tagoshi is believed to have died in the early hours of Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
A statement copied by the Ghana News Agency and signed by Western Regional Communications Officer Kirk Mensah said her death was a blow to the party.
The late Alava Tagoe spearheaded her party work especially in the region and is highly regarded for her hard work and her dedication to service to men and women of all ages.
Before Alaba Tagoe was appointed to her party leadership, she worked as a deputy women's organizer for the Western Region. The date of the funeral will be announced at a later date.
