After a last-gasp draw against Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League, Joseph Paintsil praised his KRC Genk teammates.
Tolu Arokodare's late goal secured ten-man Genk a vital point at the Cegeka Arena on Tuesday.
Paintsil, who was on the verge of leaving the club during the summer transfer window, lauded the team's tenacity.
"I adore this group. "What a fight, even though we were down by one man, we fought until the end and with great support," he tweeted.
Compatriot Christopher Bonsu Baah was sent off, while Francis Amuzu scored the game's first goal in the 71st minute.
Paintsil was connected with a number of clubs throughout the transfer window, with Leeds United, Southampton, and Burnley all failing to sign him.
