Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for flag bearer, has met with the party's elections committee. Sources claim that the meeting's goal is to give him and the other presidential contenders a chance to discuss issues with how the special delegates conference was handled.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia won the NPP Special Delegates' Conference with 629 votes, or 68.15% of the vote, making him the winner. Former trade minister Alan Kyerematen finished third with 95 votes, or 10.29%, followed by Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong in second place with 132 votes, or 14.30%.
Mr. Agyapong is anticipated to meet with the disciplinary committee in addition to the Elections Committee due to allegations he made about President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
