An Accra Circuit Court has handed down a sentence for a 21-year-old unemployed man who stole two sets of Kente clothing, a laptop, a Nikon digital camera, and a Samsung Galaxy S3 small phone.
Along with two pieces of lace fabric, Mohammed Ali Yusif, aka "Slim," also took an Olympus digital voice recorder.
Yusif entered a guilty plea to charges of theft and criminal conspiracy.
Yusif was found guilty based on his own admission in the court presided over by Mr. Isaac Oheneba Kuffour, and was given concurrent sentences of four years in prison for conspiracy to commit theft and four years in jail for stealing.
Daniel Anafo, a 21-year-old unemployed accomplice, and Tanko Mohammed, a 35-year-old dealer, both denied conspiring to commit theft and other crimes.
