Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus says he is enjoying football the way he wants under new head coach John Heitinga following Ajax’s win over FC Twente.
Heitinga’s side booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Dutch Cup after winning 1-0 away from home with Kudus scoring the only goal of the encounter.
According to him, the new gaffer has given him the confidence to operate as he wants.
“I get the freedom to play the way I want to play. The coach gives me that freedom,” he said after the game against Twente.
“I don’t feel limited and do my best for the team. It is a new position for me and therefore also good for my development.”
Kudus has now scored 12 goals for Ajax this season and 15 overall for club and country.
