Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, a gospel musician, stated that any member of President Akufo-Addo's administration who has contributed to the current condition of the economy would lose if they ran for the party's nomination.
He asserts that flagbearers who worked for the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and encountered public backlash despite his efforts to implement beneficial policies will lose their positions.
"If a member of Nana Addo's administration who has contributed to the current state of the economy runs for president, he will lose."
"I am saying that anyone who served in Nana Addo's government in order for him to endure these public backlashes from the public for all the good work he is doing will lose the election for flagbearer," he said.
The Ghanaian people will reject those who claim to have a different vision for the nation while the current government, led by Nana Addo, struggles to get the economy back on track, said Great Ampong.
"Anyone who claims to have a different vision for the country than Nana Addo, who continues to receive public outrage, will be rejected by Ghanaians, that is a fact," he said. I dare you to jot down what I am saying," he remarked.
Alan and Bawumia, the potential presidential candidates, were lauded by the veteran musician as individuals with powerful leadership abilities.
However, he also stated that so long as they are associated with the current state of the economy, they may encounter voter rejection.
"Alan is a very good man who could be the next president, and Bawumia is also a good man who is capable of doing the job, but as long as they maintain the current state of the economy, Ghanaians will reject them," he added.
