Abora Traditional Council declares temporary ban on funeral activities in all Abora Communities
The Abora Traditional Council has declared a temporary ban on funeral activities within the the Abora Communities, with effect from November 26 to December 9, 2023.
This decision is part of the preparations leading up to the funeral of the late Obaapanyin Ekua Ampiaba, mother of His Royal Majesty Emintsinminim Otu XI, the Omanhen of Abora State.
The protocol Office admonished that the ban was a crucial step to ensure the smooth execution of the funeral proceedings for the late Obaapanyin Ampiaba.
This Royal funeral is slated from 28th. November to 3rd. December, 2023. By implication, other funerals will only be allowed in the Abora State after the funeral of the mother of His Royal Majesty had successfully been observed.
Kindly note that, the period is sacredly set for the preparation towards the royal funeral.
In the week of the burial, there will be additional measures which we will put out very soon
Nananom are therefore being directed to cause this ban to be announced in all Abora communities accordingly.
