Ghanaian singer and songwriter Gyakie’s acclaimed album, After Midnight, has officially marked one year since its release on August 29, 2025.
The 17-track project, released through Flip The Music and Sony Music Entertainment West Africa, represented another significant chapter in Gyakie’s musical journey, blending Afrobeats, highlife and contemporary sounds while featuring collaborations with notable artistes including 6LACK, Shatta Wale, Omar Sterling, Headie One, Young Jonn and Kojey Radical.
One year after its release, After Midnight has continued to attract listeners across streaming platforms recording millions of streams including more than 8.6 million streams on Spotify based on available tracking data.
The album also made history on Apple Music, becoming the only album by a Ghanaian female artiste to reach the No. 1 position on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in Ghana.
After Midnight further reinforced Gyakie’s position as one of Ghana’s leading female voices showcasing her versatility and ability to connect with audiences beyond Ghana.
As the project marks one year “After Midnight” remains an important addition to Gyakie’s growing catalogue and continues to contribute to her expanding presence on the international music scene.
