Young Ghanaian actress and content creator Adobea has opened up about a difficult period in her career when she believes someone worked against her and caused her to disappear from the public eye.
Speaking in an interview with Nayas on August 30, 2026, Adobea mentioned that despite enjoying immense popularity in 2022, she suddenly found herself receiving little attention the following year.
“It got to a time where people were not hearing about me. Someone had dimmed my shine. When God gives you the gift, even if the person puts you under the sea, you will come back,” she said.
Adobea recalled that in 2023, her absence from the entertainment space became so noticeable that people began asking questions about her whereabouts.
“In 2023, no one was hearing about me. When someone saw me, they would ask me why they were not seeing or hearing anything about me. Some even asked my mother what was happening,” she recounted.
According to the young actress, her mother became concerned about the situation and prayed for her while following directions she believed would help her daughter.
“My mother prayed and followed directions given to her because of me,” Adobea revealed.
She shared that she now attributes her comeback and continued success to God's protection and grace, insisting that no individual can take away what God has given her.
Adobea further shared her belief that talents are spiritual gifts that cannot easily be taken away.
“As at now, it’s only God who is protecting me. God has given me grace and no one can take it away from me, unless I die with it. Every talent is a spirit and a gift,” she stated.

The young actress said she eventually came to the conclusion that someone had deliberately been working against her career.
“I realised that someone was working against me because these days, a lot of people and brands want to work with me, but years ago, my name alone was annoying some people,” she claimed.
According to her, some individuals allegedly wanted to damage her reputation to prevent brands from associating with her.
“They wanted to tarnish my image so that no brand can work with me,” she alleged.
Reflecting on the height of her popularity in 2022, Adobea said she was extremely busy with acting and had become a household name among young people.
“In 2022, I was so popular. If you don’t know Adobea, then you don’t have a phone,” she noted.
She disclosed that her acting commitments became so demanding that she sometimes had to seek permission from school to be absent for extended periods.
“Sometimes, I would ask for permission to be away from school for like two months. I would work back to back and I sometimes forget to eat,” she recalled.
Adobea disclosed that she and her colleagues moved continuously from one movie set to another during that period.
“We moved from one movie set to the other,” she stated.
Despite the challenges she believes she faced in the past, Adobea said she considers herself even more successful now and credits God for her growth.
“Since we have God in our lives, I’m now bigger than who I was in 2022,” she shared.
She added that her current level of public attention has become so overwhelming that she sometimes wishes she could avoid being seen in public.
“Now I want to even hide myself from the public because the attention is too much,” she added.
