‘Take my name out of your nonsense!’ - Charlotte Adu fires critics over ex-husband’s issues
Marriage counsellor and preacher Charlotte Adu Poku, formerly known as Charlotte Oduro, has angrily reacted to what she says is the continued association of her name with issues involving her ex-husband.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, the marriage counsellor questioned why her name continues to be mentioned in matters concerning her former husband when she has moved on with her life and is now focused on doing the work of God.
She pleaded with those discussing her to stop dragging her into stories she says have nothing to do with her.
“Can they ever tell their story and take my name out of their nonsense? Can you do whatever you want to do and get me out of your noses? I do not want to be associated with these kinds of issues. It’s so toxic. I am so tired of people discussing me. I have decided to focus solely on the work of God.
“Nobody is my business. They can go and tell whatever they want to say about me. I’m good. I have accepted that I am the terrible woman who was divorced. Now, can I have a little peace? Can they take my name out of their nonsense?” she said.

Charlotte also spoke about the impact she says negative narratives surrounding her are having on the teenage daughters she shares with her ex-husband, Apostle Dr Solomon Oduro.
She expressed concern that her children are being exposed to discussions and reports about her on social media, arguing that they should not have to suffer because of issues involving their mother.
“I have teenage girls, and bloggers are putting things out there, and my kids are seeing them. My kids are going through it because of social media. Why must my kids suffer because their mother is out there, because she is outspoken. The bad narrative must stop,” she noted.
Charlotte’s comments come after Apostle Dr Solomon Oduro recently disclosed that he once contemplated taking his own life following the loss of his church and the difficulties he faced during a court case.
The preacher, whose marriage to Charlotte had ended, recounted how he found himself standing at the Nima Overhead, overwhelmed by his experiences and questioning God and his circumstances.
According to Apostle Oduro, the situation became particularly difficult because he felt he had endured numerous challenges despite not deliberately bringing those problems upon himself.
