‘He’s a thief, show no mercy’ - DJ Slim fires at Strika over alleged theft
Media personality DJ Slim has weighed in on the ongoing discussion surrounding Strika, the actor in the popular "Beasts of No Nation", after he was reportedly caught attempting to steal metal railings at the Kwashieman footbridge in Accra.
In a video shared on YouTube and monitored by GhanaWeb on September 1, 2026, DJ Slim claimed that the actor, named Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, is a thief and should be treated as such.
According to him, Ghanaians should not have any sympathy, adding that this is not the first time Strika has engaged in such conduct.
“I have heard a lot about him, so when I heard this news, his physique shows he is a criminal. When he was featured in the movie, he earned about $30,000... He is used to having money, and he couldn’t do anything with it.

"There is no way our small contribution could help him. He needs to face the law like any thief. Do you think no thief has a story?” he said.
DJ Slim further noted that Strika should be allowed to face the consequences like any other person accused of stealing.
“I want us to put the movie he acted in aside and deal with him like a criminal. He is a thief; we should ensure he is placed in state correctional facilities and receives appropriate treatment.
“Because every time an issue surrounding him pops up on social media, he doesn’t get punished but rewarded. He gets rewarded for every bad behaviour,” he added.
