'No one cheated' – Asantewaa addresses breakup allegations with AMG Armani
Content creator Asantewaa has dismissed speculation that infidelity led to the end of her relationship with Ghanaian musician AMG Armani, insisting that neither of them cheated during their time together.
Speaking during a question-and-answer session, the influencer said she remained faithful throughout the relationship and that AMG Armani also did not cheat on her despite widespread assumptions following their breakup.
“No, I have always stayed true to him. I’ve never also cheated, and he has not cheated. I broke up with him so you people thought maybe he cheated,” she said.
Asantewaa admitted, however, that ending the relationship took an emotional toll on her, revealing she cried before making the decision, throughout the breakup, and even afterwards.
“I cried every time. Like before, when I sensed that, I cried. During, I cried. Aftermath, I cried,” she said.
Although she does not regret leaving the relationship, Asantewaa said her perspective has changed with time, and she believes she would have handled the situation differently if given another chance.
“I didn’t regret then breaking up with him. I would still stand on my 10 toes and say I don’t want the relationship anymore. But if I had a second chance, I’d calm down and keep things on the low side. But it is what it is. We can co-parent,” she stated.
The content creator also revealed that while she kept the challenges in the relationship away from her own family, AMG Armani’s relatives were aware of their relationship and what they were going through.
“My family… I don’t do family. I keep things to myself. I don’t have anybody to go and cry to or talk to and say, ‘My man is doing this.’ But yes, his family knew,” she explained.
Reflecting on the experience, Asantewaa said the breakup changed how she views life and relationships.
“I understood life differently. I figured some people may just come into your life and then fulfil their purposes and then they would have to leave. And that would be it. So right now I see life in a different way and I am ready for anything. I’m ready for anything at all that wants to come my way,” she added.
The remarks come weeks after Asantewaa confirmed that she and AMG Armani had ended their relationship following days of speculation sparked by an emotional video she shared online.
She later said she had chosen “peace” and was focused on healing while co-parenting their children with the musician.
