Ampem Darkoa Ladies make history, eye WAFU B Champions League final
Ampem Darkoa Ladies are making a strong statement at the 2026 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Burkina Faso, becoming the only team to maintain a perfect record through the group stage.
The Ghanaian champions won all three Group B matches, including a 2-1 comeback victory over Nigeria’s Edo Queens, to finish top of the group with nine points.
Their campaign began with a 1-0 victory over defending champions ASEC Mimosas before a commanding 4-0 win over AS GNN of Niger.

They then completed the perfect run by overturning Edo Queens’ early lead.
Ampem Darkoa have scored seven goals and conceded just one in the competition, underlining their balance between defensive discipline and attacking quality.
They now face FC Dynamique of Benin in the semi-final on Wednesday, September 2, with a place in the WAFU B final and a step closer to the CAF Women’s Champions League group stage on the line.
