‘Children born to mothers in their 20s are more intelligent’ – Counselor Lutterodt

Ghanaian relationship counselor George Lutterodt has made a claim about the relationship between a woman's age at childbirth and the intellectual development of her child. Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on September 1, 2026, Counselor Lutterodt advised young women who intend to have children not to delay childbirth unnecessarily. He argued that children born to mothers in their twenties tend to be more intelligent, adding that their intellectual abilities could be evident regardless of whether they receive formal education. “If you’re a young lady who thinks that you want to have a child, it’s better. Children who are born early, if your mother gives birth to you within the twenties, you’re more intelligent even if you don’t go to school,” he said. Counselor Lutterodt further claimed that children born to women aged 38 and above could face difficulties with learning. “If they give birth to you from 38 plus, your mind will be dull and it won’t be easy for you when learning,” he stated. ‘Stop pressuring the Minister, direct your concerns to Mahama’ – Counselor Lutterodt to creatives He insisted that his assertion was supported by clinical evidence. “It’s clinically proven,” he shared. The counselor also questioned why young women who desire children should wait for what he described as the “right” partner before starting a family. “You’re young, and you won’t give birth; what’s your problem?” he asked. He went on to challenge the idea of waiting for a perfect partner, claiming that some young women are being encouraged to wait by religious institutions. “There’s no Mr Right anywhere; the church is lying to you,” he added.
