Why NPP will suffer to win 2032 elections if it fails in 2028 - John Boadu explains
Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has explained why it will be difficult for the party to win the 2032 elections if it fails to secure power in the upcoming 2028 general elections.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on September 1, 2026, John Boadu stated that it is imperative for the NPP to win the 2028 elections.

He explained that, based on his experience, he is the right person to lead the party to recapture power.
Sounding a word of caution, he said that if the NPP fails to win the 2028 elections, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) could present a different presidential candidate in 2032, which, he believes, would make it more difficult for the NPP to return to power.
“It is a must for us to win the 2028 elections because if we don’t win, the NDC would get a new presidential candidate, which will make it very difficult for us to win the 2032 elections because they would have a sitting president,” he said.
