'Current Sports Minister doesn’t understand sports' – Ebo Appiah
Ghanaian Sports business and communication consultant, Ebo Appiah, has criticised the current Minister for Sports and Recreation, accusing him of lacking a proper understanding of sports and questioning his ability to transform the sector.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Ebo Appiah was unequivocal in his assessment of the minister, Kofi Adams, insisting that his criticism was based on the minister's public statements and approach to sports.
"The current minister of sports does not understand sports. Full stop. In Spanish we say el punto. That's it," he stated.
According to Ebo Appiah, retaining the minister in office could mean Ghana faces the same challenges that have affected the sports sector over the past two years.
"If they leave him there, we will have the same thing we had for the past two years," he said.

When asked whether he had personally engaged the minister before reaching his conclusion, Ebo Appiah admitted he had never met him.
"I don't know. I've never met him. I've never met him," he said.
However, he acknowledged that a personal interaction with the minister could potentially influence his opinion.
"Maybe if I meet him and then I talk to him, I may have a change of mind," Ebo Appiah added.
He maintained, however, that his current position is informed by what the minister has said publicly.
