Baba Sadiq begins work as Ghana's High Commissioner to Nigeria

Baba Sadiq has officially assumed office as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria following his appointment on March 1, 2026. In photos shared on X on September 3, 2026, the popular music executive was seen meeting with staff as he formally began his diplomatic duties. Appointed by President John Dramani Mahama, Baba Sadiq is expected to spearhead initiatives that strengthen trade, cultural exchange, and diplomatic cooperation between Ghana and Nigeria. His role officially commences after Nigeria’s formal acceptance and completion of standard diplomatic procedures.
