‘Helping veterans is good, but don’t flaunt it online’ – Kwaku Manu to Salinko

Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwaku Manu has advised his colleague Salinko to be more discreet with the support he offers veteran actors. Speaking in an interview with MC Portfolio on September 7, 2026, Kwaku Manu acknowledged that Salinko has the ability to support veteran actors, but questioned his decision to publicise some of his philanthropic activities on social media. According to him, Salinko can help people without necessarily bringing his good deeds online, stressing that constantly flaunting such gestures could make people question how he suddenly acquired wealth. “He can do it. Salinko can help the veterans as he promised without bringing it out on social media. The problem is he is flaunting what he is doing online. Some people are seeing him like, ‘When did he come?’ or ‘When did he get rich?’” he said. Kwaku Manu explained that his experiences and advice from wealthy people around him have taught him that people who acquire wealth should remain humble and avoid rushing to display their success. ‘No one should call me again’ - Salinko withdraws monthly support pledge after wealth scrutiny “I’ve come to understand that you don’t have to show off in this country. The advice the rich people around me have been giving me is that when I get money, I shouldn’t rush. When you get money, we have to look for more,” he stated. He further stressed the importance of multiplying wealth rather than spending recklessly, warning that making money again after losing it could be difficult. “If you don’t work hard to multiply what you have and it gets finished, getting the money again will be hard, but spending it is very nice,” he shared. Kwaku Manu also urged celebrities to remain humble and be mindful of how they communicate with others, particularly because fame often comes with public scrutiny. “They also say that with the fame we have, we should be humble and patient.
