'I just don't want you to be my friend' – Shatta Wale tells Stonebwoy
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has revealed details of a past misunderstanding involving his godfather, businessman Kofi Abban, and fellow musician Stonebwoy.
According to Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy reported Abban to Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter Amaarae’s father after the businessman allegedly promised both artistes cars but only fulfilled the promise to him.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Shatta Wale claimed Stonebwoy was unhappy because he had not received his car, while he had already received his.
Shatta Wale criticised Stonebwoy over the incident and said he was not interested in rebuilding their friendship, despite being willing to forgive him.

“He lied to you. He lied to me,” Shatta Wale said.
He further accused Stonebwoy of being ungrateful and urged him to stop taking their disagreements to social media.
“I just don’t want you to be my friend,” he said.
Shatta Wale also acknowledged that nobody is perfect and referenced instances where other people had advised him during difficult moments.
“I’m not perfect, do you know how many times medical [sic] they advise me? You know how many times Sarkodie advise me?” he added.
