Mohammed Kudus produced a moment of individual brilliance as Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The Ghanaian forward, introduced at half-time, immediately added more urgency to Tottenham’s attack as Spurs looked to overturn a 1-0 deficit.
Kudus thought he had levelled the game in the 60th minute when he found the back of the net, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside in the build-up.
He continued to pose a threat, however, and eventually made his mark in the 86th minute.

With Tottenham trailing 3-0, Kudus received the ball on the right side, skipped past his marker with a silky piece of skill and created space before laying the ball perfectly across the face of goal.
Conor Gallagher was on hand to finish from close range, giving Spurs a lifeline and handing Kudus his first Premier League assist.
Jan Paul van Hecke added a second in stoppage time, but Tottenham could not complete the comeback as Villa held on for a 3-2 victory.
The result leaves Spurs still without a league win after five matches.
