Hollard Ghana confirms death of Group CEO Patience Enyonam Akyianu
Insurance company Hollard Ghana has confirmed the death of its Group Chief Executive Officer, Patience Enyonam Akyianu.
The company confirmed her passing in a post on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, saying her leadership and impact would continue to be remembered.
“A life of impact. A legacy that continues to live on,” Hollard Ghana said.
The company added, “Today, we remember Patience Akyianu, Group CEO of Hollard Ghana, and honour the life, leadership and memories she leaves with us.”
Former Barclays Bank Ghana MD Patience Akyianu reported dead
“You shall forever remain in our hearts. Rest in perfect peace,” it said.
Patience Akyianu was a former Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana and also became the first Group CEO of Hollard Ghana Holdings in October 2018.
She had more than 26 years of experience in banking and finance and previously served as Finance Director and Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana.
She also served on several corporate boards and was a founding member of the Executive Women Network and the International Women’s Forum, Ghana.
