‘I would have died in Nigeria’ - Apostle Solomon Oduro reveals fetish priest’s prophecy
The leader of Royal Victory Family Church, Apostle Solomon Oduro, has shared a detailed account of his upbringing in a traditional family home and how his life changed after an encounter with God.
In an interview with Nana Romeo, shared on social media and monitored by GhanaWeb on September 23, 2026, Apostle Oduro revealed that his parents were fetish priests in Nigeria.
According to him, his mother worshipped three different gods, but among her seven children, he was the only one who refused to identify with them.

He explained that he would mostly cry whenever he was taken to the shrine.
“My father and mother were not churchgoers. I made my parents become Christians. My mother worshipped three different gods. My parents gave birth to me in Nigeria, and my father also supported my mother’s work as a fetish priest.
“The strange part of it was that my mother gave birth to seven children, and I was the only one who would cry whenever they took me to the shrine. Even when they brought food offered to the gods, I would not eat. This made me leave home to stay with my grandparents,” he said.
Apostle Oduro also shared how a fetish priest prophesied about his future.
He said the priest revealed that he (Apostle Oduro) would have died if he had been forced into traditional worship in Nigeria.
“There was a prophecy from one of the fetish priests that I should be brought back to Ghana. According to what my father told me, the priest made him aware that if they kept me in Nigeria for 40 days, I would have died. He also prophesied that I would help Ghana,” he recalled.
Further detailing his life experiences, Apostle Oduro shared how he was unable to speak at a younger age and how he was healed through several prayers.

“There was a pastor in Achimota who said I had been called by God. I also used to follow another prophet to evangelism even though I was unable to speak. I used to write everything I wanted to say.
“Even if you sent me somewhere, you would have to write down what I was supposed to say. So, when the prophecy came, I asked myself if I would have to write my messages to people. One day, I went to the Atwea Mountains to pray, and it was during that time that I sensed there was a rope tied around my neck, which I removed. After that, I was able to greet someone for the first time,” he added.
