'Does an MP construct stadiums?' – Fans slam Kurt Okraku over Manhyia South MP dig
Fans have criticised Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku after his response to Manhyia South MP Baffour Awuah’s call for government intervention to reform Ghana football.
Awuah had called for government involvement in addressing challenges within the administration of the sport, prompting Okraku to question how many football pitches the MP had constructed for his constituents.
The response has triggered a wave of reactions from football fans on social media, with many questioning whether MPs are responsible for providing football pitches and sporting facilities.
Several fans argued that the construction and development of football infrastructure should not be presented as the responsibility of an individual legislator, particularly when the GFA is the body mandated to administer football in the country.
