Okese1 recalls childhood encounter with McBrown
Ghanaian rapper Okese1 has revealed that his first encounter with actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown happened while he was a primary school pupil.
He said he first saw her when she visited his school to support students from a children’s home.
Speaking during an interview on Onua Showtime, Okese1 recounted how McBrown brought about 12 children from a children’s home to his school in Kumasi and paid their school fees, an act that left a lasting impression on him.
“I’ve met you before. I was in primary. You did something that I want to say it live on air, but first of all, I will say God bless you because when I was in primary, I remember you brought about 12 people from children’s home to school, to pay their school fees,” he said.
“I was there, in Kumasi. It is now Excel College; back then it was Garden City,” he added.
McBrown, surprised by the revelation, asked if Okese1 attended the school under Mr. Ernest Kwarteng’s administration.
“Yes, that is where I went to school,” he responded.
Reflecting on the memory, McBrown acknowledged that the incident happened many years ago, around 2006 or 2007.
“Eiii, this matter was a long time ago, in I think 2006/2007,” she said.
