'Who is Firestick?' – Keche Joshua and Shatta Wale lambast self-styled showbiz critic

‘Who is Firestick?’ – Keche Joshua, Shatta Wale lambasts self-styled showbiz critic

Joshua, a member of the Keche music group, has fired back at social media commentator and industry critic Firestick over his recent remarks about the Ga Mantse.

Shatta Wale has also joined in, describing the US-based Ghanaian socialite as a “foolish boy”.

In a video circulating on social media, Joshua questioned Firestick’s relevance and criticised him for commenting on matters concerning traditional leaders.

“I dey here right now, I dey reason, I just want to know, who is Firestick? The life we are living right now what does he do in it?” Joshua said in pidgin.

He continued: “I’ve seen he has gotten some platform and he’s saying our king the Ga Mantse should have been an Ashanti king, who is he? So someone wore their outfit and he spoke about it so what, what does that make him? That he thinks he can just say anything. Who is he?"

Shatta Wale later reposted the video on X and endorsed Joshua’s comments.

“This my brother go keeeee me oooo.. )si )ye whai a. He is a foolish boy dawg him,” the dancehall artiste wrote.

Firestick’s comments stem from an interview on Pluss FM, where he said he wished Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene (king of the Ashanti Kingdom), was the ruler of Accra instead.

He argued that Otumfuo is “too civilized” to be king of the Ashanti Kingdom, a statement that has since sparked criticism on social media and drawn accusations of disrespect towards the Ga traditional leadership.
