‘I made more money as an MC than as a musician’ – Mr Eazi

Ghanaian-Nigerian musician Mr Eazi has disclosed that the biggest payment he has ever received in his career did not come from performing his own songs but from working as a master of ceremonies (MC). Speaking in an interview on 3Music, the 'Leg Over' hitmaker revealed that he earned more money hosting an event in the South of France than he had ever received as a performing musician. According to him, he has also hosted massive shows in Sweden, attracting audiences of between 7,000 and 10,000 people, without performing a single song. "The most money I've ever been paid as an artiste, I didn't get paid as Mr Eazi. I got paid as the MC in the South of France. You should see the shows," he said. ‘Will you stop doing business with me?’ – Mr Eazi asks mentor over TikTok criticism He continued, “I did a show with a capacity of about 7,000 to 10,000 people in the middle of Sweden, where I didn't even perform one song. He also spoke about his album, The Evil Genius, explaining that the project reflected his state of mind at the time of its creation. "I feel like I've been blessed to still be doing music. I put out my album, The Evil Genius, because that's where my head was. It's a piece of art, but for my fans who know me, they were taking it," he added.
