Fans who had been waiting for so long for the sophomore album of Gospel
music hit wonder; Stella Addo will be happy that they did. Those who taught
she would be coming with the "same old, same old" hits like "Yesu ye
Champion" and "Empare me" were really and utterly disappointed as the album;
"Wahyira Me" with an English hit; "Be Blessed", a duo with Internationally
Known Hip-Hop and R&B Gospel Star; Steve Kelly.
Stella continues to reinvent herself as an accomplished and successful
Gospel music star proud to add diversity as part of her talent.
International success is the way to go and she is living up the dream in
the land where dreams are made; U.S.A.
3G once again traveled to Worcester to support one its own; Stella Addo and
her official launching of "Wahyire me". The launching officially took place
at the Church of Pentecost; Worcester Assembly and was hosted by a powerful
man of God; Elder Adade, who brought the house down with his powerful
presentation fused with wits and comedy. He immediately started using his
fund raising skills by asking the congregation to come to the podium and
bust a balloon for $20 each. This brought many to do so.
There were song ministrations by; Deaconess Dina Ofori, Esther Abaidoo and
among the Gospel music stars who attended and sung in support of Stella
were; Vivia Ofori and Getty of Getty & Friends; stars who came from New
York. Elder Ken Appiah of Soul Winners fame; an award winning musician and
Producer also helped in making sure the sound was great and avoiding any
major glitches.
Stella officially was introduced to perform on stage with three back up
singers. She lighted up the sanctuary with her elegant dress as she
appeared slowly singing the first track of her CD.
During the second performance, what shook the audience was when Steve Kelly
was heading to the stage to perform "Be Blessed" with Stella. He saw the
audience were sitting and not dancing. Like his mentor Kirk Franklin,
filled with confidence and energy on stage remarked loudly "So you are
sitting and not praising the Lord, Get up and sing to the Lord for his
mercies endures forever". Immediately the congregation began to dance as
Stella was hitting the right notes, dancing and Steve adding his voice. A
section of the congregation was blown away by Steve's courage and stage
presence in support of Stella.
Those who had expected only twi songs expected the unexpected as Stella Addo
indeed took her talent to another level.
The CD was blessed by many invited men of God and Rev. John Appiah
of the Church of Pentecost officially began to sell the first CD.
Among the men of God invited were; Rev. John K. Appiah, District [C.O.P
]Rev. Dr. Alex Nfum, Redemption Christian Center, Rev. Kwaku Boakye Boateng
- Rhema Gospel Church, Rev. Otu Siaw, Rhema Gospel Church, Rev. Ben Akotey,
Praise Terbinacle Int. Ministry, Rev. Samuel Sarpong, River of Life
Ministry, Rev. Datey Akufu, The Apostolic Church, Rev. Charles Aye-Addo,
Int. Central Gospel Church. Rev. Gerald Plunge, Upper Room Chapel Int. Rev.
Adu Manteh, Devine Power Ministry, Rev. Kafui Agbesi, Honeywell Baptist
Church and Rev Stephen Adde, Albany, New York
Hon. Ken Asafo-Adjei, Music & TV Producer was also in the audience to offer
support. The congregation was pleased with Stella Addo's three tracks she
performed and started buying copies. After the launching, Stella told 3G
she was very excited about the launching and many people had been calling to
congratulate her. Stella Addo is destined for International success once
gain and she really worked hard on the second album. She offered her
sincere gratitude to ALL who came and support in diverse ways.
She thanked Steve Kelly and Gospel Music Group for the enormous support on
the album and was pleased that a new brighter day had arrived.
