Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has shared his excitement following the recent induction of French-Beninese music icon Angélique Kidjo as the first African singer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Angélique Kidjo, on August 18, 2026, became the 2,854th honouree in the Recording category after winning five Grammy Awards.
Following the honour, Stonebwoy, in a post shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on August 24, 2026, expressed his excitement about his association with Angélique Kidjo.

According to Stonebwoy, it still feels like a dream to have performed on the same stage with the celebrated musician at the Royal Albert Hall in the United Kingdom.
"To make music with the first African woman to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To call her Africa Mama. To perform with her as a special guest on her 40th at the Royal Albert Hall,” he shared.
Stonebwoy, while referring to Angélique Kidjo as his godmother in the music industry, noted that he feels blessed to have the celebrated musician featured on the same song with him.
“To have an existing godmother relationship with her. Damn!!! I’m so blessed. BHIMNATION will have bragging rights FOREVER. #WakeUp," he added.
